Testimonials

"My son Cyrus has been a student of Andrew's for just over a year, after having played piano for a year previously.  Andrew has been a very inventive teacher who clearly has an understanding of how to teach core concepts and skills using classical pieces hand-picked for the specific student and skill level.  Since starting with Andrew, Cyrus has learned many notable pieces by notable composers which have given him confidence in his ability and an interest in classical music.  Andrew is also a great guy with youthful energy, and Cyrus is excited to see him each week.  He is a knowledgeable and engaging teacher, and I would recommend him for any student."

"I'm a 34-year-old lawyer who has had a long-time dream of learning to play the piano and have been Andrew's piano student for the past year. I never knew that learning the piano could be so much fun and am surprised at how quickly I have progressed in my learning. I cherish our weekly lessons and love practicing and preparing for them. Andrew is extremely patient, fun, and knowledgeable. He helps students achieve their personal, customized goals and I look forward to working with him for many years to come."

"I worked at my mother's music school in Carnegie Hall: The Carabo Cone Method. I have seen many terrible and some great music teachers. Andrew Vickers is a great teacher. He has the rare ability to be kind and patient and yet to maintain the highest level of musical inspiration in his teaching. And Andrew is a wonderful composer ~so he has an interpretive and a creative understanding of music .( not to  mention a classical and Latin spectrum).Andrew brings humor, talent and clarity to his teaching."
